We extend a very warm welcome to all visitors to Our Lady & St Brendan’s Church and also to Tralee. We wish you a very happy stay.

Unfortunately, due to the heavy rain on Sunday last our Corpus Christi Procession could not go ahead. We would like to thank all involved in any way in this event especially the residents of Hawthorn Drive, Monavalley for all their preparations in hosting the Procession.

This was discussed at the recent Parish Pastoral Council Meeting. While the shared Anniversary Mass has proved to be popular with families wanting to have an Anniversary Mass at a weekend, it has become increasingly difficult with the long list of names to be read at the start and again at the middle of Mass. It was decided to read out the list of names and addresses at the start of Mass only, beginning from Saturday, June 8th.

Mark Moriarty from Killarney is a Seminarian in Maynooth. He has been with us since last September and will be leaving us after Easter to continue his studies. Mark has been involved with the First Communion pupils of Holy Family School, a Confirmation Class from Balloonagh School, the "Homecoming for Lent" project, Lectio Divina for Lent and other parish involvements. All our best wishes go with Mark on his future journey towards priesthood.

Sr Mary Gallagher of Missionary Sisters of The Holy Rosary wishes to thank our parishioners for the warm welcome she received last weekend & the generous response to her appeal.

Congratulations to the boys and girls of Holy Family, Listellick & Balloonagh Schools who were Confirmed last week. Many thanks to their  teachers and parents who helped prepare them for Confirmation

It has been brought to our attention that the footpaths outside the Church grounds are being blocked or impeded for use by pedestrians, parents with buggies and wheelchair users. We encourage motorists to park their cars with consideration for others. We would appreciate your co-operation and consideration in this matter.

In recent weeks we have removed chewing gum from the Church carpet and seats. It is important to observe the one hour fast before receiving Holy Communion. We encourage parents to ensure that children are not chewing gum when attending Mass. We ask your co-operation in this regard.

The work to replace the covering on the church kneelers is now complete. This project was named as a project for the monies raised in the Silver Circle last year. Many thanks for your generous support.
